In most schools, it was always the “geeks” who took the brunt of the jokes. Yes, they might have spent the majority of their time with their heads in books or browsing the Internet looking at what many would perceive to be dull sites, but without them we wouldn’t have a lot of the “essential” technologies at our disposal today.
